Scholarship program "Polish Erasmus for Ukraine" (closed)

The program provides two semesters of study at higher educational institutions of Poland. On completing the program, participants are required to return to Ukraine to continue education at their home universities.

Participation in this program is open to citizens of Ukraine, in particular, to those, coming from regions of Lugansk and Donetsk, and the Autonomous Republic of Crimea. A Participant must be a student or a postgraduate student of a higher educational institution of Ukraine.

Selection of the participants of the Programme will take place in two rounds.
In the first round 100 students will be selected.

Contest of Joint Ukrainian-Indian research projects in 2015-2017 (closed)

The aim of the Program is to promote and develop high-quality scientific and technological cooperation between groups of scientists of both countries. The competition is open to any laboratories or research groups of higher education institutions, research institutions and enterprises of the two countries.

Applications should refer to the following priority areas:

Annual scholarships of Bavaria BAYHOST 2015/16 (closed)

Funding period: 2015-2016 years

The Bavarian State Ministry of Education, Science and the Arts will fund scholarships for the academic year 2015/16. Graduates from Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia and Ukraine are eligible to apply.

The scholarships are meant to finance doctoral or postgraduate studies at Bavarian universities. One year scholarships can be extended twice for up to 3 years.

Advanced Academia Fellowships in Bulgaria for International Scholars (Humanities and Social Sciences)

Funding period: 2015-2016 years

CAS Sofia provides in-residence fellowships of two- to five- month duration to post-doctoral non-Bulgarian researchers. Junior as well as Senior scholars are invited to apply.

Candidates may apply for two periods:

  • 1 March 2015 - 31 July 2015 (Summer semester);
  • 1 October 2015 - 28 February 2016 (Winter semester).

The selected Fellows are entitled to:

  1. A monthly stipend of 700 euro (liable to 10% income tax) to cover living expenses related to the stay in Sofia.
  2. Accommodation in Sofia, comprising living quarters and working space.
  3. The Fellows will also have free access to the CAS library and electronic resources/databases.
  4. Travel allowance (400 euro).
  5. Research expenses (100 euro p.m.).

Candidates must:

  • be non-Bulgarian citizens;
  • have completed a PhD in the fields of the humanities and social sciences;
  • International research experience. Participation in projects and referring conferences and publications in peer-reviewed academic editions are strong advantages.
